NOLI ME TANGERE SINOPSIS NG KABANATA 25

Who motivates me...

“Youth (Student)”
My motivation to be a future teacher is that our future is in the hands of our youth today.  The better they are educated - the better they will be prepared to take on the challenges that they will face. I want my students to enjoy school and know that learning is enjoyable. I want them to know that it is going to be tough at times and that I am going to be hard on them at times but that I still love them despite all their faults and whether they are the best student in the class or whether their best is a C-. I want to see the light bulbs come on in my students' heads. There is nothing more satisfying than watching a student struggle and then to suddenly see their face light up with understanding. That is what motivates me.
I am also motivated to show my future students that learning is a lifelong process.  I will continue to read about new ideas and discover new things, and am excited to share this with my future students to be.  To see if they will be excitement on their faces when they realize that everyone, young and old, loves and appreciates knowledge that is amazing.
“Family”
What motivates me to be the best teacher I can be is my family. I am married and a mother and I have been involved in the school as a parent first and foremost since my eight (8) year old daughter started pre-school. I think that as a parent has to be involved in their children's education. I am a student also and I feel a great responsibility of the children today falls on the teacher. I also want their parents to know that I am always there for them to do what I can to help their child succeed. I do not look at what I do as a job I look at it as a passion to make a difference in a child's life. I want them to know if they truly believe in what they are doing that it can happen. It takes hard work and determination on their part and I am there to help them meet their goal.

“Former Teachers”
What motivate me are my former teachers.... not a single one stands out in a positive way.  My relationships with my teachers as I grew up also are a large influence on why I chose to become a teacher. They weren't all bad, just nothing outstanding. I had teachers who were wonderful and teachers who made my year hell. I did think when I have a high school biology teacher that made the impact on me. This teacher was the sole reason I became a teacher.  I am motivated to be the best teacher I can be for students because of the teachers that I had.  They motivated me in so many ways.  I have such great memories of many of my teachers and what they did for me. They wrote me notes; they gave me words of encouragement and challenge and made me a better person.  I want to be that kind of teacher for my students - the best that I can be for them. If I could keep a person like this from infiltrating the education system, then I would be happy.
If a teacher had pre-determined my life because of what I had come out of, where would I be? I want to be that teacher that makes a positive difference in the life of a child. Giving a student confidence and pushing them to do their best and seeing their own success is what makes me want to give my best everyday to my students.
“Experiences”
What motivate me to be the best teacher I can be in the future are my experiences as I was growing up. That said I am motivated by helping others. I like the feeling I get by knowing that I encourage others to make good choices in life by giving my experience as a sample to them. I like seeing others successful in their life in the future. When people are not successful I want to show them that they can be successful in life and then help them with the baby steps it takes to make it to the top of the mountain that they set for themselves. Sometimes it is about painting pictures in their head. Then they want what they see and maybe they see what they have never even dreamed about before. It is about painting their future one stroke at a time even if the picture changes while they are painting it.  Students need to learn that their future ultimately is in their hands. Every closed door is an opportunity for something new.

Franco, the Chihuahua( short coat)

Franco, a Chihuahua short coat, is a confident, feisty, courageous, and loyal dog. He is loving, gentle and sweet-natured with our family. He likes to play games, and needs lots of attention, affection and petting. He usually becomes much attached to Ayessa my daughter and to the family in particular, and Ayessa, his chosen one, he always follows everywhere she go. He tends to get jealous when Ayessa pays attention to Seon Doek (an Aspin meaning Asong Pinoy) another pet of our family!
Franco loves to sit on her lap and keep close to her. He will burrow into any blankets he can find, including the ones on our bed. Because of his small size, we need to be careful not to step on him or to let him jump from high pieces of furniture or he could break a bone.

Franco is not sociable with strangers and makes an excellent watchdog because he is so alert and quick to bark when someone treads on his turf. We have trouble convincing our friends that this ferocious little beast is such an adorable, sweetheart when they aren't around.

Franco can be yappy at times so I will have to let him know, early on, that I won't tolerate it. He doesn't need a great deal of exercise and tires easily, but he does like to go out exploring and needs short walks and romps outside every so often. He may shiver when he is nervous or cold.
We must keep firm control of him when we are out, because he has no fear of larger dogs and will ferociously challenge them even if they are ten times his size! He doesn't get along with dogs he doesn't know, although he will get along fine with other dogs in the household if he grows up with them as a puppy. He does prefer the companionship of another Chihuahua, however. He is not easy to train and we will need a lot of patience when teaching him commands. He is notoriously difficult to housebreak. He snap at, or even bite, a child if the child is rough with him or teases him, but he get along well with our child because she is gentle and respectful on him. He is a medium-shedder so he does not be a good pet for you if you are worried about dog-hair in the house.

PIZZA ROLL! PIZZA ROLL!

When I think about my favourite food, in my mind comes pizza. Since I am home I made easy to prepare yummy pizza rolls. This is not your typical pizza, nor pizza roll. I used cheddar cheese and let me tell you they were hit as soon as I put them on the table. Pizza is one of the foods most kids will eat no matter what, and making homemade pizza roll is a guaranteed money saver. This pizza roll is delicious and affordable.

Mommy Sarah’s Home Made Pizza Roll
You will need:

1 Packed slice bread (about 24 slices) as pizza dough
For Filling:
Cooked ham or pepperoni slice or salami slices (or any frozen choice you want)
Green bell pepper
3 cups of Cheddar Cheese- Quick melt cheese, mozzarella can be great too
2 cups of pizza sauce
Egg
Evaporated Milk
Bread crumbs
Oil for deep frying

How to do it?... it’s so easy
1.      Flatten the slice bread until it can easy roll.
2.       Spread some pizza sauce on top of the bread.
3.       Top with ham slices, cheese and green bell pepper then roll.
4.        Roll it so it would not be too tight. It should have some space between( just like croissant).
5. Beat egg and add some evaporated milk. Dip the rolled pizza into the egg-milk mixture.
6.Again roll the pizza with the bread crumbs.
8.      Deep fry until golden brown or bakef or about 20-25 minutes at 350 degree Fahrenheit.

That’s how easy to make your snacking fun and delicious... They are perfect for lunch, snack, even dinner..you can freeze them and bake later. I mean really easy and simple recipe!
I had some leftover slice bread, so I decided to make for me and my hubby. So here is the photos of that as well.

And you could guess that I had to make special pizza roll for my classmates too!
Enjoy cooking... enjoy eating... have fun!

BLOG # 3: A Movie Review 2

                                              Black Swan

Movie Review by Sarah Detruz
Directed by Darren Aronofsky
Starring: Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Barbara Hershey

I finally had the opportunity to watch the movie Black Swan starring Natalie Portman( Nina) and Mila Kunis(Lily) after borrowing a DVD from a friend. The costumes, the movement and art of ballet dancing, and the direction of the film were amazing. It was thrilling in the sense that it was constantly catches the audience and made to push our boundaries and test our comfort zones.

There were parts of this film that did make me uncomfortable, not including them would have harmed the overall atmosphere of the film. Regarding their controversial sex scene of Nathalie Portman and Mila Kunis, and the gruelling ballet training. I was surprised by both the performances given by Natalie and Mila because I simply have never seen them in their roles. Natalie was bold, daring, graceful, and exquisite. Mila playing the role of Lily and I simply loved her.

When I finished watching the film, I was unable to make the immediate decision of categorizing Black Swan as a good or bad film. It was neither. It is one of those films that cannot be given a label. In my eyes, it was disturbingly artistic and sometimes too much for me to handle, I was challenged by it. At the very end of the movie, I ran to my friend Nanie who had recently watched the film as well. When discussing it, she had told me that she loved it. Typically after watching films, to decide whether she liked it or not, she’ll ask herself ifshe could have thought of a better ending to it. “I couldn’t. It was perfect,” and we left it at that. In addition to that, Natalie just won the Best Actress in 83rd Oscar Academy Awards night for her role as Nina in this movie.

This movie is not for everyone, but you’ll know whether or not you want to watch the film after you’ve seen the trailer.

BLOG # 3: A Movie Review

"Love and Other Drugs"

Movie Review by Sarah Detruz
Director: Edward Zwick
Writers: Charles Randolph, Edward Zwick, Marshal, Herskovitz and  Jamie Reidy
Stars: Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway

The movie "Love & Other Drugs" starring Jamie (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Maggie(Anne Hathaway). In this movie Jamie, a hot-shot pharmaceutical dealer, learns the ins and outs of his new job seducing receptionists, until he meets his match in Maggie, a Parkinson’s disease patient, who is far too concerned with being in love.

The two get off to an unstable start. He’s too arrogant for her and she’s too smart for his tricks. But since they’re both so attractive, they hit it off with one agreement--since she’s concerned with how her disease will affect him, they decide not to call their relationship...a relationship. As you can guess, Jamie falls for her, she’s unsure, and eventually both try to prove that their ready for some commitment.

This goes on for roughly under two hours, at the time Jamie’s rise to the top of the drug world, thanks to the recently released Viagra pill, Maggie’s Parkinson’s disease becoming a real issue worth discussing.  I was surprised by both the performances given by Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway  in their roles. Anne was bold, daring, and exquisite. Jake playing the role of Jamie and I simply loved both of them.

Director Edward Zwick has two really good movies in here--one about the advent of Viagra and its affect on men, and one about dealing with a difficult disease and the strain it can put on personal relationships. Unfortunately, he chose both, leaving audiences with two mostly humourless hours filled with inconvenient, unclear characterizations. Gyllenhaal and Hathaway in particular perform well in their respective movies, but they have trouble meeting in the middle--the conflicting styles of humour and sentiment just don’t connect, which reduces the film’s more sincere moments.

Mango Cake.... Yummy
For those who love dessert (cake specifically) this is the place for you, Red Ribbon Cakes. I myself have a sweet tooth and really loves cakes.  Cakes - They're known for their Mango Cake, but don't hesitate to try the rest. I adore their Mango Cake! Ultra sweet and moist mango cake. Juicy mango bits and cream mango filling tucked into soft moist white chiffon and topped with fresh mango slice, Refreshing mango taste in every slice.

Mango Cake just naturally melts in your mouth. So good! On that note, I have to recommend the mango cake. I mean, I have to. It would be a crime NOT to. I try to get that every year for my birthday, and every year when the days lead up to that special moment, I am eager. I am excited, and usually on the morning of, I bounce out of bed all - "MANGO CAKE! MANGO CAKE! MANGO CAKE!
Delicious Palabok
for only P135.00 with drinks
and slice of mango cake.

My husband Alvin , Ayessa and I went for a dinner last Saturday to celebrate my post birthday  in its branch at SM Dasmarinas. I had pancit palabok meal. Ayessa’s choice was All Beef Salisbury Steak for P160.00 only, while Alvin chose pan grilled  chop at the same price .I got the P135.00 meal, which came with a drink and piece of cake. Alvin and I got a slice of mango cake  and Ayessa chose the mocha choco crumble cake slice. The new cake introduce by RRC. The restaurant has all kinds of Filipino pastries, like empanada, mamon and ensaymada. Red Ribbon Bakeshop is a chain restaurant in the Philippines with locations in different part of the country and different malls.

This place isn't that impressive to eat at, but on the other hand, were you to get something at the last minute for a party (like some type of food tray, or a cake! ), I'd say this is probably one of the best places to go to. Delicious and affordable, the staffs behind the counter are quick to get things done and they get it done right. Their selection of goodies beneath the glass counter has me standing there for what feels like hours, debating on what to get.

And even if I was too does something like that (only because I've done that before! Oops), they wouldn't care. Patience is a virtue, my friends.

New Mocha Choco Crumble:
Rich mocha cream, heavenly mocha chiffon
 with crunchy chocolate crumble,
a mocha cake like never before.

The cakes here are to die for, literally. They fulfil every sweet tooth's desire, but will probably make your diet die. Use sparingly. Like, you know, for parties. There are also some cooked entrees available. But the reputation here is for the sweet treats. Stock up on the various assortments of sponge cakes and watch your snacking habits explode!

BLOG #1: The Most Important Person

I want to grow old with him

When thinking of those who are the most important person in our lives we often look to those that are closest to us and for me that person has been and always will be my own husband.

Let me give you the most important reason why he is the most important person in my life. Imagine that there was someone whom I have to spend the rest of my life with. I had to spend every minute of every day with this person, day in and day out. He is the first person I will see when I wake up in the morning and the last person I see when I go to sleep.

This person is there on my life’s special occasions: my birthday, Christmas, New Year, valentines day, my wedding and finally, my funeral. This person is there during all of my life’s ups and downs. This person shares my sorrows and my joys.

When I am down, only this person can cheer me up. When I fall, only this person can pick me up. When I set a goal, only this person can give me the motivation and confidence to achieve it. This person will never leave me and is the only one I can truly depend on.
If I didn’t love this person, wouldn’t my life be absolutely miserable? I’d be forever stuck to a person I didn’t love. I wouldn’t be able to do anything! He’s my roommate, my best friend, the father of my daughter,  my life and my everything. I want to grow old with him.

He  is the most important  man in my life and of course the most important "girl" in my life would be my lovely daughter Ayessa. They complete me.

I WANT TO GROW OLD WITH YOU"
by  Robbie Hart

I wanna make you smile whenever you’re sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you

I’ll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I’ll miss you
I’ll kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

I’ll need you
I’ll feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you
